Cambridge, MA 02140
In celebration of the landmark Irving Penn: Beyond Beauty exhibition, now on display at Lesley University, we invite you to join us for an evening with acclaimed fashion photographers and videographers Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin.
Inez and Vinoodh’s meticulous and audacious imagery has challenged and inspired the field of fashion photography. Working together since 1986, the Dutch partnership rose to fame in the early 1990s. Experimenting with the latest digital imaging technologies, their early work captured the imagination of art critics and art directors with its sophisticated interplay of elegance and horror.
The duo contribute regularly to Vogue Paris, Purple Magazine, W Magazine, and V Magazine, among many others, and have created iconic advertising campaigns for leading fashion and fragrance brands including: Yves Saint Laurent, Christian Dior, Gucci, Calvin Klein, Balenciaga, Chanel, and Viktor & Rolf Parfum. More recently, they have created music videos for Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Björk, and other highly recognizable musicians, while making iconic portraits of Madonna, Daniel Day Lewis, Natalie Portman, Clint Eastwood, and many other key figures of film and celebrity.
