Jim Hilb
Jim Hilb graduated with a BA-History and Economics from UW–Madison in 1968 having had George L. Mosse as his educational advisor. He furthered with an MBA-Marketing and Economics from the University of Cincinnati’s Carl H. Lindner School of Business in 1972, and recently completed studies in Chinese Mandarin for Business-Miami University (Ohio) 2013-2014, Farmer School of Business. Jim has enjoyed a successful business career based in Cincinnati, Ohio, as an owner and team participant of multiple businesses specializing in fashion accessories, sports marketing and promotional products. He has served on several boards including the City of Wyoming OH Economic Development Commission and the Mosse/Weinstein Center for Jewish Studies Board of Visitors – and shares a passion for the Mosse Program in which he has been recently involved and deeply committed. In 2019, Jim attended the George L. Mosse 100th Anniversary Birthday Conference in Berlin, Germany.

Erik Jensen
Erik Jensen is an Associate Professor of History at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, where he teaches courses on German, European, and world history. His first book, Body by Weimar: Athletes, Gender, and German Modernity, explored the role of sports in shaping social and cultural ideals after the First World War. He has also written on the postwar LGBTQ movement and on the historical intersection between sports and sexuality, and he edited the Second Edition of the “Weimar Germany” volume of the German History in Documents and Images website. He is currently working on a deep biography of the half-Jewish tennis player and pioneering journalist Paula von Reznicek, whose personal fortunes reflected the political and social fluctuations of the twentieth-century Germany through which she lived.

Eric O’Connor
Eric O’Connor is currently a history teacher and the History Department chair at The Seven Hills School in Cincinnati, OH, where he has taught world history for the last nine years. Before that, he taught history at Sidwell Friends School in Washington, D.C. and has been a Max Weber Postdoctoral Fellow at the European University Institute in Florence, Italy. He earned his Ph.D. in European History from the University of Wisconsin–Madison in 2014.

Mark A. Raider
Mark A. Raider is professor of modern Jewish history in the Department of History (College of Arts & Sciences), director of the Center for Studies in Jewish Education and Culture (College of Education), and chair of the University’s Israel Initiative Committee. He is past president of the Academy of Fellows for Teaching and Learning. He serves as visiting professor of American Jewish history at the Cincinnati campus of Hebrew Union College.
Raider earned his BA at the University of California, Santa Cruz in 1988 and his Master’s and PhD degrees at Brandeis University in 1993 and 1996, respectively. He also studied at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Before joining the University of Cincinnati, he was the founding director of the Center for Jewish Studies at the University at Albany, State University of New York from 2000 to 2006. From 2007 to 2012, he served as director of the Posen Foundation Education Project.
