Ivan Krastev: Political scientist, chairman of the Centre for Liberal Strategies in Sofia, and fellow at the IWM in Vienna and the Robert Bosch Stiftung in Berlin. He helped found the European Council on Foreign Relations and from 2004-2006 was executive director of the International Commission on the Balkans. He has written several books, including Democracy Disrupted. The Politics of Global Protest (2014) and is an opinion writer for the New York Times.
